Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- JACKIE ROBERTS – Jackie Roberts in an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience in community services and long term conditions. She is a our care home lead.
Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- KERRY BRENT – Joined the practice in 2021. Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner undergoing a Msc in Advanced Clinical Practice. Qualifed Nurse since 2005 with extensive experience in Cardiology and a keen interest in Heart Failure. Has worked in Primary Care since 2017 as a Nurse Practitioner trained in Minor Illness and treatment room duties such as Cervical Screening and Chronic Disease management.

The nurses run their own clinics. With the doctors they share the management of high blood pressure, contraception and other conditions needing regular monitoring such as heart disease, asthma, diabetes, COPD and chronic kidney disease. The nurses also run the children’s vaccination sessions. These appointments are determined by the Child Health System at Victoria House in Hull. You can make an appointment with a practice nurse in both the morning and afternoon at The Park Surgery and on a Thursday morning and Monday afternoon at Nafferton.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.

Clinical Pharmacists
Our clinical pharmacists are medication specialists who are also qualified to consult on a wide range of clinical areas. They are the best placed member of our team to advise on medication and pain management.
